EMaximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
By: James Patterson
Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment is about six children who have been Genetically altered to be bird like. At the lab they came from, also known as the School, they were tortured and treated very badly. Luckily they were able to get away, with the help of one of the staff members, Jeb. He disapeared a few years back and the kids stayed at his house. However it turns out he isn;t dead and he's been with the whitecoats the whole time. Jerk. -_-
Max the oldest, took care of all of them like a mother in a way. Now I have to be honest. I, at first, thought Max was a boy, until the others started calling Max, "her" and "she" Don't let that confuse you.
The basic plot of the book is about the kids trying to get the youngest, Angel, back from the Whitecoats, the scientists. However they get problems from Wolf men known as Erasers. Poor little Angel! BUT THEY RESCUE HER!!! YAY! With the help of awesome cool killer birds they made friends with. AND MAN can those kids eat! Fang orders a meal for himself that could feed like 5 people! The woman at the counter asks "Are you feeding a crowd?"
He replies "Yes Ma'am"
With that Max must think,"Yeah him and all his split personalities."
That is probably my favorite part.
Now if you haven't read this book you might want to. it's a pretty easy read. The book may seem thick, however, the chapters are only like 2-3 pages long and it's hard to put down. I'm a picky reader myself. I wasn't sure if I'd be interested, but when my friend told me about it I thought, "Well I shouyld give it a chance."
When I started the book Boy was it hard to put down. I got through 30 chapters in one day...the equivallent of about 2-3 hours reading all together. It's a quick read, and I think you all might like it. So give it a chance. ^_^
Heres what the general look of the book is like.
